How To Root Samsung Galaxy S3 On XXEMF6 Firmware

Before you start:

• I would recommend you to take full backup of any files that are present either in internal memory or in external memory. Generally, rooting and installing custom recovery on the device doesn’t wipe memory, but still be on the safer side and take a full backup.

• Rooting voids warranty. So, if you root Samsung Galaxy S3, then you may not be able to claim warranty for the device.
• Please ensure that your device has been charged to more than 75%.
• Make sure you have installed Samsung Galaxy S3 Drivers.
• Make sure that USB debugging is enabled and just recheck if you’re not sure. For enabling USB debugging, point your phone all the way to “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”.

Procedure to root Samsung Galaxy S3 on XXEMF6 firmware:

• Begin by downloading  XXEMF6 root package and the Odin application from the download section on your computer. Odin files would be in a .rar file which you have to extract somewhere on desktop, keep the firmware .zip file as it is.
• Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S3, remove and re-insert the battery. After that you have to boot your device on in download mode. For starting your phone in downloading mode, press both volume down key and center button simultaneously and while holding them down together, press the power button.  An appearance of a green Android on the screen will confirm the action.
• Open up odin.exe on your PC which we extracted above and while holding up your phone in download mode, connect it to your computer with the help of USB cable. On connecting, the ID:COM field on Odin will turn yellow or blue which confirms that your device is successfully recognised and connected with Odin.
• Again on Odin, look for PDA button, click it and browse for the CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.tar.md5 file. In addition to that check that Auto reboot and F.reset options are selected on Odin.
• Double check everything and once you’re sure, click the start button in Odin to start the process to root Samsung Galaxy S3. After few minutes your phone will restart and a Pass message will displayed on Odin. You can now unplug your device.
